Are there a few basic rules for adjusting front and rear suspension, or is it a matter of change and see what happens, i guess I'm looking for advice on a starting point.
The bike, Atomik Fury 250 '09 model,
? on the front are the knobs marked Fast/slow, what do these markings relate to, ie: faster/slower Spring rate or is it Damping.
on the rear which way to adjust (up/Down) for softer/Harder ?
Hope someone can advise
Thanks [/u][/i] _________________ A pessimist is never dissappointed. |

The knobs is the rebound and compression adjustment.
In simple terms how fast the oil can flow the the valves.
Adjust the rebound to slow it will take the fork longer to come up and vice versa with compression.
Suspension is all about feel.
Whatch the moto gp. and you will see same bikes with teams although compeltely different set up for both riders.
Start by adjusting the dials to the middle and than ride and determine what your feedback is and than adjust accordingly.
I know this vague.. but its the way it is ..
Although say with harder rockier terrain you may want quick rebound and softer compression settings to soak up the bumps..? |
